The ability these youngsters have to fight off these aliens is the ability to morph, to change.

Episode Discussion
- Narrative voice. The Invasion is first person within the head of Jake, the often described leader of the group of Animorphs. The jarring nature of the voice in Jake’s head, quasi-journal and quasi-inner monologue leads a different type of taste in Reid and Isaac’s memory.
- Succinct Plot. In a short number of words the world building, conflict, setting, and characters are set up and ready to be explored for the remainder of the series.
- Consequences. Actions have consequences in this series, and that no character is immune from their actions. Actions done by these characters actually change and interact with the world around them.
